Pepsi Scholarship Programs Offer Aid to Students in Need

PepsiCo offers an array of scholarship programs intended to help the community by helping those with excellent academic credentials attend college and achieve a degree where their financial circumstances might otherwise prevent it. With a number of different programs, you can apply depending the institution of higher education you wish to attend. Pepsi Scholarship

The Pepsi Cola Scholarship Program is a $10,000 renewable award that you can use towards your qualifying higher education expenses. In order to qualify, you must have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or higher, demonstrate financial need, and plan to attend specific universities including City College of New York, Howard, Penn State, SUNY, Temple, Virginia Tech, or University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Another $10,000 award from the Pepsi Bottling Group is not renewable, but it does accept a lower GPA (2.5) and is available if you are attending any accredited university, college, or technical school in Maryland.

An essay is required for approval and you should be active in community services with at least one letter of recommendation. The Pepsi Public Affairs Scholarship is financial assistance available to students already attending Missouri University who have a GPA of 3.25 or greater with at least 45 college credit hours. The Public Affairs Scholarship is for students pursuing a degree in government or public service.

The Mid-Del Technology Scholarship award from PepsiCo is available for high schoolers with at least a 3.0 GPA preparing to attend Oklahoma University. Two similar scholarships for Nebraska students are also available, the Pepsi Service Scholarship and the Pepsi/Frito-Lay Scholarship.

Additional Pepsi Scholarship Fund awards are available for graduates of the Hospitality High School in Washington, D.C., through an endowment of $250,000. Each of these awards are applicable to students with financial need who pursue hospitality-related course tracks in a higher education schools and vary in value from $500 to $3000.

With any of these scholarships, you should have letters of reference from educators or employers as well as the ability to demonstrate your communication skills through a written essay. Pepsi offers dozens of additional programs at universities across the United States as well as internationally. Remember to beware of scholarship scams.

Do not enter your personal information on websites that are not known to be secure and official entry locations for the awards. There are special programs for students with family members employed by PepsiCo, but most of the scholarships are open to all students who demonstrate a financial need. With a Pepsi scholarship, you can reach your degree goals.
