Scholarships for College Freshmen

Just because you’re in college, doesn’t mean your scholarship search has to be over! There are plenty of scholarships for college freshmen. Both colleges and private individuals understand that just because you’re in college, doesn’t mean you have the funds secured for the rest of your college career. This is a contest where applicants submit essays about certain topics in history such as any aspect of the Spanish Civil War, or the global, political or cultural struggles against fascism in 1920s and 1930s. This is open to both undergraduate and graduate students and a $500 prize is awarded in each category. The submission may be in Spanish or English and should be between 3,500 and 7,000 words. They also must have been written for a school assignment in some capacity, and must have been written in the past two calendar years.

Lots Of Scholarships Available for College Freshmen

An easy scholarship for college students of all year levels is the College Prowler No Essay Scholarship. It is incredibly simple to apply for this scholarship. All it requires is filling out a form on the College Prowler website, and all the form asks for is your contact information. Every month a winner is picked to win $2,000. Even if you do not win one month, you are allowed to reapply as many times as you wish.

Another good way to win money is the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation. All grade levels are eligible to participate in these competitions.. They take the form of short quizzes on various topics. The topics change monthly. Five hundred points are awarded for each question answer correctly. A point is removed from that number for every second it takes you to answer the questions. The awards for these scholarships vary for each quiz. The maximum a person may win from these scholarships is $5,000.

Many current college students find themselves short on cash or worried about paying college loans. However, this doesn’t have to be so. Even after you’ve begun college, there are still plenty of ways to earn scholarship money. It is certainly worth it to dedicate some time to searching for scholarships. It also may be worth checking to see if any scholarships you’ve won are renewable, and make sure you meet the requirements for that as well. If you put some effort in, you can make sure you never have to worry about how to pay for college.
